Balanced dog training is a method of dog training that uses 4 quadrants of operant conditioning which is a combination of positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement and/or positive punishment and negative punishment to achieve a balanced approach to training. We are a balanced dog training company that focuses on strengthening the bond between you and your dog. By building trust, maintaining consistency, and providing clear, fair guidance, we lay the foundation for lasting success, both in your dog’s behavior and in your relationship together..
We strive to create an environment of mutual respect and understanding between dog and owner, as we recognize that no two dogs are alike.
I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer with 10+ years of experience, and excelling in relationship building. I started my career volunteering at a local shelter and was soon promoted to a Vet Tech. While I enjoyed the work, I found it emotionally and mentally draining to have to euthanize dogs due to behavioral issues. This experience inspired mE to become a Dog Trainer and help prevent these animals from ever having to end up in a shelter. After rescuing my first Malinois (Jesse James) I became obsessed with giving him the best life possible.
A well behaved dog never made a skillful handler. The crazier the dog the better the training!
